Flowers Evoke Emotion

Flowers Evoke Emotion

Whether we see flowers in the store, in a photo, in a painting, in our flower gardens, or in the wild; they have a way of evoking emotions with their beauty. Their beautiful colors and intricate details are mesmerizing. The way they provide food for butterflies, birds, and bees informs us of their incredible importance to our Eco-system.

When we had our wedding a few years ago, I refused to have any real flowers for the bouquets, boutonnieres, or trellis. I bought all fake flowers (on clearance) at local craft stores to create the fall colors in our wedding. While I love looking at the flowers on display in the stores, I just hate the thought that they were planted, grown, and cut for a few moments of enjoyment and then tossed in the trash. When I plant flowers, I let them grow and die as they would in the wild. Please know, if you appreciated a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the store, I am in no means ridiculing you. I’m personally just not a fan of the entire process.

Imagine my surprise when I stumbled across Sola Wood Flowers, a Utah based business that sells flowers made from tapioca plant roots! Women supporting women in crafting business and possibly even other photographers like myself. The flowers are extremely affordable, quick to arrive, well packaged, and come in various shapes, sizes, and colors. They even offer raw sets and dye packages! You can buy your bouquets already put together or purchase a DIY bouquet kit. There are no limitations when it comes to creativity with Sola Wood Flowers!

I am not an employee of Sola Wood Flowers, I’m just a loyal customer who is always satisfied with their product. As women supporting other business women, they did offer me a small commission of sales made at the links I’ve provided above. I will never promote a product I don’t absolutely believe in. So, if you’re a crafter or photographer in need of beautiful, quality products you should totally visit their site and support them as well as other women entrepreneurs. Comment photos of your projects with the items you purchased below, I would love to see them!
