As a photographer who appreciates the natural beauty that surrounds me, I tend to have an urge to travel and view fascinating scenery in other places. Photography and hiking are two activities I can do with complete joy and totally lose track of time. Fortunately, the two go together well, which allows me to engage in both at the same time.
I recently finished reading Wanderlust where Rebecca Solnit took me on a journey through the history of travel (mostly in the form of walking) for various purposes from a leisurely activity to a political movement. Being free to do either means so much more to me after learning from the information she shared through her writings. I have to admit, wanderlust while describing the desire to explore also has a rewarding, whimsical ring to it.
I also recently received a notification from Google informing that I became a local guide due to my many photo and review contributions. That was particularly exciting for me since I not only love photography and writing, but I also love sharing the alluring destinations we visit in hopes of convincing others to explore those or other areas local to them. I’m looking forward to having my photos and words in the view of more people.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged and supported me thus far. Your kind words have always been motivation to continue doing what I love. It would be an honor to have you join me for Wanderlust Worthy Wednesdays.
